The Posada al Sur is located in the heart of Ciudad Vieja (Old City), the historical and colonial center of Montevideo. Its situation, close to the Harbor, to the Rambla (main street aside the Rio), and to downtown, allows you to move easily through the city. Surrounded by art galleries and colonial houses, the Posada and its neighbourhood have a specific charm, where present and past come together, and that you can only find in this part of the city.

It’s important underlining that Posada al Sur is the headquarter of Retos al Sur, a project born in Montevideo on the initiative of young people from different horizons. This initiative aims to promote, support and realise Responsible and Sustainable Tourism. It also supports Social Economy and cultural production in Uruguay and all over the Cono Sur, through a different focus that makes a central issue of the respect for socio-cultural diversity, environment and South-South relationships among world people and cities.

First practical information center of its kind for Responsible and Sustainable Tourism in Uruguay, the Posada is supported by National Minister for Tourism and Sport and Italian Responsible Tourism Net Viaggi e Miraggi.
