Airport:
If you arrive by plane, there are many buses (ómnibus interdepartamentales) from the Airport to the local Bus Terminal of Rio Branco. The trip costs 23 uruguayan pesos (about 1 dollar) per person. Then we recommend you take a taxi, which costs between 30 and 50 pesos (1, 5 and 2,5 dollars), depending on the weekday and your arrival time. But if you prefer, you can also take a taxi or a “remise” from the Airport, although it’s much more expensive (about 400 pesos or 20 dollars).
Bus Terminal:
If you arrive in the international Bus Terminal of Tres Cruces, you can take a local bus to “Ciudad Vieja” from the bus stop which in front of the Terminal. The trip costs 13,50 (0,70 dollars) per person and then you’ll have to walk two blocks to the Posada from the bus stop “Colón and 25 de mayo.” The other option you have is the taxi, a bit more expensive (about 100 pesos or 5 dollars).
Port:
If you arrive in the Montevideo’s Port, the best option is walking, then it’s really close (about five minutes).
